Black women have had to develop a larger vision of our society than perhaps any other group. They have had to understand white men, white women, and black men. And they have had to understand themselves. When black women win victories, it is a boost for virtually every segment of society.

Anonymous asked: Oh my gosh I *love* it when the Unseelie fight like show off's. Like 'lets who has the biggest talk and can puff out their chest the most - oh no there isn't *actual* fighting' ehehe

They remind me of like giant birds of paradise or peacocks showing off their feathers to each other, like ‘LOOK AT ME, I’M SO FIERCE’ ‘WELL ME TOO’ ‘BETTER NOT FIGHT THEN.’

They externalise a lot more of their ‘animal kingdom’ connection. Whereas the Seelie tend to repress a lot more of it. I suppose Seelie are a bit more transcendant and the Unseelie are a bit more immanent.

It’s one of my favourite things to write. ‘Here we go, the Unseelie are puffing up again oh wait now it’s just a civil conversation.’ Gwyn just witnesses it all like ‘ohhhhkay.’

If any of you are writing a story and need to think about what foods different countries produce (which if it’s a big story you probably do, because food is important culturally and economically to all cultures) then I have a good resource for you. Also, if you’re doing a fantasy world setting then you can pick out the climate of your fictional areas and compare them with similar real climates and what food is produced or grown there.

Here’s the link!

a question: does anyone else get second hand embarrassment when watching con panels? like when fans start asking questions? do you ever get so embarrassed that you have to pause the video momentarily and just, chill for a minute?
